明星志願3修改器+使用問題

最近買了win8的筆記型電腦，重新拿明星志願3玩(只有本片)
已經解決相容性問題，也已經安裝好領航員3和更新檔
可是發生了以下兩件事

1. 我使用修改器(Star3edit_v1.3e)，修改好後也確認數據儲存等等步驟
但回到遊戲讀取，卻發現遊戲數據完全沒有改變！
我之前在舊電腦(windows XP)使用，更新檔也用了只是沒有用領航員3
可是仍能正確讀取
不知道是什麼問題？那解決的方法？(麻煩不要叫我改用GM8....我完全不懂...)

2. 執行遊戲中回到桌面，程式便主動關閉....
請問有何方法可解決？
因為這樣超級不方便的...有時候要到網站看攻略等等
但因為這樣常常重新開啟遊戲很麻煩...
