美國務卿發聲明　促中釋放劉曉波

【大陸中心／綜合報導】今年的諾貝爾和平獎頒獎典禮將於挪威舉行。美國國務卿凱瑞，在知名異議人士劉曉波被中國當局囚禁5年之際，發表聲明，敦促中國當局釋放這名諾貝爾和平獎得主，並解除對劉妻劉霞的軟禁，也對北京打壓反腐人士許志永的作法表示關注。

BBC中文網報導，凱瑞發表聲明說：「我們強烈敦促中國當局釋放劉曉波，結束對劉霞的軟禁，並確保劉曉波及其家人得到國際人權保護和自由。」在呼籲與中國這個亞洲強國保持「建設性關係」的同時，凱瑞還強調，「我們堅信，尊重國際人權對中國的發展、繁榮和長期穩定非常重要」。

57歲的劉曉波在2008年被捕，次年被判刑11年，至今已經在獄中度過5年。2010年，諾貝爾委員會對劉曉波頒發和平獎，引發中國政府憤怒。劉曉波的妻子劉霞近年來亦遭到中國當局的軟禁。
