研究：就醫者約25分之1在醫院受感染

新英格蘭醫學期刊 (New England Journal of Medicine)26日刊出的最新研究指出，2011年，約25分之1到醫院就醫的病人在醫院受到感染，病人受到的感染多達72萬1800種。聯邦疾病防治中心 (CDC)說，受感染的病人大約有7萬5000人喪生。

最常見的感染是肺炎及手術房感染，各自在總感染中占大約22%。其次是腸胃感染 (像是困難梭狀桿菌Clostridium difficile感染)、泌尿道感染及血流感染。
