《紐時》：致命氣爆　震撼台灣城市

高雄前鎮市區從昨夜至今天凌晨發生史上最嚴重氣爆，美國《紐約時報》也報導該則消息，並稱「致命氣爆 震撼台灣城市」。

報導指出，這起氣爆至少造成24死，超過270人受傷，氣爆火焰一度衝上15層樓高空。報導引述目擊者說法，有民眾形容現場宛如地震，部分道路被炸開，引發大火並掀翻車輛。報導也說高雄市長陳菊表示，疑似石化物質導致氣爆。但其他官員則認為，目前下定論仍過早。中央災害應變中心表示，軍警已加入搶救行列，從爆炸區搶救受困民眾。（施旖婕／綜合報導）
