「大隻佬」Ryan Howard此役面對大都會，敲出本季第三次再見安打，助費城人終場以7比6逆轉勝！

前8局打完，費城人以5比6落後，9局下，費城人沒有放棄反攻機會，Marlon Byrd代打敲安攻下追平分，並在2人出局後盜上2壘，隨即Howard與大都會終結者Jenrry Mejia纏鬥6球後、逮中滑球，敲出右外野深遠安打，率軍逆轉勝。

「對方只要解決掉我，就會收下第27個出局數，我其實很緊張，但你們知道嗎？我克服了。」Howard在賽後表示。

事實上，在Howard敲出再見安前，Mejia對前一名打者Chase Utley丟出故意四壞，他在賽後說：「我是想要解決他的，但我不是教練， Terry Collins才是教練，他要我幹嘛，我只能聽話，畢竟我只是球員。」

Utley此役猛打賞，單場4支3包辦3分打點，繳出本季第11轟，也許這是Collins下令讓Mejia丟四壞的原因。
