歐盟擬將薰衣草精油　列為有毒致敏化合物

歐盟計畫在今年底，將廣泛使用在美容舒壓商品中的薰衣草精油(Essential Lavender Oil)列為「有毒化學成分產品」，廠商必須在包裝上明列可能危害健康的警告字句。消息傳出，引發法國薰衣草農叫苦連天，憂心此舉有如宣判業界死刑。

薰衣草精油被列為有毒化學成分產品，主要是因為內含豐富的「乙酸芳梓酯」(linalyl acetate)，這種成分可能導致人體產生過敏反應，《歐盟化學品管制法》(REACH)將總計140種精油成分列為人體過敏原，可能導致人體過敏反應，甚至呼吸困難。業界擔心，歐盟此舉將造成薰衣草精油生產成本增加，影響相關產品銷售。（於慶中／綜合外電報導）
