陸軍13日舉行阿帕契攻擊直升機接機典禮，並邀請馬英九總統校閱陸軍航空特戰司令部直升機部隊。馬英九致詞時表示；「武器價格昂貴，請愛護使用。」

陸軍航特部13日在台南歸仁基地舉行AH-64E阿帕契攻擊直升機接機典禮，馬英九致詞時表示，「雖然現在是60年來兩岸關係最和緩時刻，但是千萬不能忘記建軍備戰工作」，他強調：「國家可以百年無戰爭，但是不可一日無戰備。」、

馬英九重申:「中華民國絕對不能沒有國軍」、「國軍的任務是止戰，而不懼戰!
」他更稱讚陸軍航特部隊是一支小而強的勁旅。

馬英九也期勉前往美國進行種子訓練教官的辛勞，他表示，為了前往美國接受換裝訓練，這些飛官長期不在家、與家人分離，相當辛勞，但是為了保衛國家，一切都值得。

馬英九在接機茶會中致詞表示，在他當兵時長官都要我們愛惜軍品，因為每樣武器價格都想當昂貴，因此他也期勉國軍能愛護使用裝備。
