近日美國太空總署火星探測車「好奇號」傳來一張圖像讓人議論紛紛，UFO專家推測這張圖像應是外星大型動物的「大腿骨」，可以進而證明火星上確實有生物存在。然而，美國太空總署（NASA）否認此說法，澄清「只是一塊石頭」。

據《INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS TIMES》報導，好奇號14日傳回一張疑似「大腿骨」的照片，引起網上熱議，許多網友猜測這應是「外星生物骨骸」。不過NASA發表聲明表示，火星的大氣結構無法供應足夠的氧氣讓複雜有機體存活，即便有生命存在，應該只會是構造簡單的微生物，大型動物骨骼絕不可能出現在火星，這張照片顯示的不過是塊「石頭」，只是被風或水流侵蝕成現今的樣貌。

另外，先前還有人在好奇號傳回的圖像中發現蜥蜴、貓、老鼠等蹤影，NASA回應這均是火星上形狀奇異的石頭罷了。
