媒體報導，國軍募兵人數招募不理想，尤其在洪仲丘枉死案發生後，嚴重影響青年從軍意願。國防部坦承，的確會造成影響。
日前媒體報導，軍方102年度預計招募2.8萬名自願役士兵，可是到6月底為止，僅募到462人。特別是在洪仲丘案爆發後，軍中黑幕一再被放大檢視，更將使許多原先有意投身軍旅的青年恐怕望之卻步。
國防部人次室人整處處長傅政榮上校23日在記者會表示，462人是今年上半年2梯次的招募成果；截至7月3日止，已完成1至3梯入營，計獲得社會青年1,847人，達成率約31%；第4梯次招募932人、第5梯次招募2180人，所有梯次將於103年2月底前陸續入營。
傅政榮坦承，洪仲丘案肯定會影響軍隊招募成效，不過由於尚未進行入營報到與考試，因此影響層面還有待觀察。
