【施旖婕／綜合外電報導】英國一名女子，因患病導致男性荷爾蒙過多，經常為臉部生鬍鬚苦惱。但她終於擺脫心魔，乾脆留鬍子以「真面目」示人。

29歲的歐尼爾（Sarah O'Neill），2006年診斷患了多囊卵巢綜合徵（PCOS），不但影響她生育能力，更令男性荷爾蒙水平偏高，讓她上唇同下巴生鬍鬚。為怕被人誤會自己懶惰或不衞生，她經常要花一小時剃鬚。但她現在終於擺脫心理枷鎖，決定留鬚，不想再為取悅別人，隱藏自己的病情。她更表示，留鬚後感覺更舒服。
