【施旖婕／綜合外電報導】美國佛羅里達州一對「變性情侶」，先後接受變性手術後尋回真我，2年前2人一見鍾情，計畫明年結婚。

可明斯(Mark Cummings)出生時是女兒身，歐康奈(Jessica O'Donnell)則本來是男孩，但2人最終均發現自己的「真正性別」。2003年，可明斯變性做了男人，2年前邂逅歐康奈。今年初，歐康奈在可明斯的鼓勵下，也進行變性手術切除睪丸。

可明斯稱遇上歐康奈，是一生中首次找到真愛，他未變性前受盡歧視，而歐康奈少年時曾經自殺，2人經歷過類似的痛苦與傷害，故能完全了解對方，雖然別人無法體會他們的關係，但他們稱「我們超幸福」。

歐康奈稱，未變性前一度以為自己是個男同性戀者，但遇上可明斯，令她明白真正的自己。他們已訂婚，計畫明年結婚。他們現時主持電台節目，盼讓更多人明白變性人面對的問題。
