近年來將經營重心擺在綠能科技的MITSUBISHI，在產業發展過程中因腳步過快導致消費者使用習慣來不及跟上，以及偏離原本的市場主力，在這樣定位不明確的影響之下，其銷售版圖可說是越縮越小，經過幾次跌跌撞撞之後，在總裁益子修（Osamu Masuko）重新調整產品策略之後以逐漸的步入正軌，除了在日本市場原有的小車級距外，熱銷歐洲的Outlander PHEV也逐漸獲得好評，此次總裁更親口透露對於未來車型的規劃方針。
