英國維多利亞時代距今已有1百多年的歷史，但美國西雅圖街頭卻出現一位身穿馬甲、絲襪，華服的女性，裝扮與現代格格不入，雖然突兀卻也十分特別，不知道的人以為是電影情節真實上演，讓她時空穿越來到21世紀。

根據英國《每日郵報》（Daily Mail）報導，對美國女性馬甲一直是束縛的表徵，如同古代中國要求女性必須裹小腳的父權壓迫社會，但住在美國西雅圖33歲的莎拉克里斯曼( Sarah Chrisman )卻不這麼認為，甚至崇尚維多利亞時代的生活。
