【上下游新聞】竹南塭內 台灣最大紫斑蝶繁殖地

根據台灣蝴蝶保育學會義工的統計，竹南海岸林至少有十萬顆以上的「金光」蝶蛹，是台灣最大的紫斑蝶繁殖地。除了斯氏紫斑蝶，根據塭內社區居民與台灣蝴蝶保育學會義工的調查，竹南海岸林中還有各式鳳蝶、黃蝶、斑蝶等三十多種台灣常見的蝴蝶出沒。

「我們塭內，有生態特色紫斑蝶，悠遊中港溪出海口的世界珍寶—中華白海豚，還有台灣西部最壯觀的海岸林與原始沙丘生態園區。我們要透過懷念先民篳路藍縷的開發奮鬥史，結合在地生態與文化，為竹南特殊的自然生態產業尋找出路，」學習解說技巧的社區青年陳明妙，娓娓道出對家鄉的使命。（上下游記者汪文豪/報導）
