to當介係詞用 並非不定詞
ascribed ...to = 歸因於/認定為
相似的用法還有attribute ... to / credit .... to

其他像是
lead to (導致)= contribute to
in addtion to (除此之外)
get/be used to (習慣於) = be/get accustomed to
object to (反對)

這些共通點都在於 to=介係詞　後面都是接"事物"(名詞)
硬要接動詞　唯一方法就是改Ving
