巴西聖保羅州自來水廠今天指出，6、7月巴西世界盃足球賽進行期間，聖保羅市極可能缺水。

水廠預測，供聖保羅市2/3民眾（約880萬人）及都會區10個城市用水的康達雷拉系統（Cantareira）水庫將在7月見底。

1個月前，聖保羅水利廳危機處理小組分析1930年至2013年康達雷拉水庫水位及大聖保羅地區的降雨量作出預測，最樂觀的情況是3月底南半球入秋後，降下秋雨緩解旱象，最糟糕則是乾旱持續至8月水庫見底。

聖保羅極可能在世足賽期間面臨斷水之虞，促使水利廳加速進行汲取水庫集水區地下水計畫，預計5月開始運作。

康達雷拉系統包括4個庫區，今年遭遇到1953年以來最嚴重的乾旱，3月雖喜降甘霖，仍不足以緩解旱情。今天水庫水位降至15%，再創歷史新低。

儘管如此，聖保羅州長奧克明（Geraldo Alckmin）仍排除全面停水，由各市政府自行決定發布輪流停水措施。(中央社)
